Ristorante La Greppia

I had wanted to try this restaurant again for a long time, I had been there years ago for a baptism. The restaurant is inside a typical peasant house of the Marche tradition and the environment is very welcoming and relaxing. The menu is classic, local cuisine oriented towards peasant tradition, with cold cuts, cheeses, ragù and roasted meat. All decent but nothing that particularly satisfied me. The abundant mixed starter, the gnocchi with meat sauce too delicate, almost tasteless. I tasted my wife's ravioli with nettle but they didn't convince me, but as I don't like this type of pasta and sauce, I can't give objective judgements. As a second course I ordered a sliced coarse salt and rosemary, cooked "bleu" (before rare) and it arrived cooked to medium. Also in this case little flavor and slightly tough meat. Service not very present and limited to the minimum wage: "here's the table, here's the menu, ready to order?, enjoy your meal, desserts and coffee?" When I asked for the wine list I was told: "it's not there today, but all you have to do is get up to go and see what we have in the display case". For goodness sake I could even get up, but at least propose a couple of alternatives to the table! Account in line with the quality of the food. The location definitely deserves better!
